EdTechTeacher iPad Summit Boston 2015

This presentation will showcase how we have transformed learning spaces at Lower Canada College to reflect 21st Century learning. After moving forward with a 2:1 iPad program in our elementary school and a 1:1 program in our Middle School, we sought to transform our pedagogy and spaces to reveal significant classroom engagement and student learning.

Action research and a pilot project were planned and have led to physical transformations of classrooms to exhibit active learning in the Middle School and Project-Based Learning in the Junior School. Records of teachers' daily reflections and classroom observations as well as student surveys were instrumental to these changes.

We will propose simple and inexpensive solutions for both elementary and middle school classrooms that will foster student engagement and contribute to transforming pedagogy. We will also tell the stories of how we have transformed teaching and learning in our classroom using technology and new learning spaces.
