Gradebook, Portfolio, Parent Access, Oh MY: Showbie is the Heart of your Paperless Classroom

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Anyone who has struggled with using email, dropbox or Google Drive to facilitate workflow in their classroom will love what Showbie has to offer. With Showbie, you can easily create classes and distribute work to all students (without requiring email addresses - hooray!). You can collect work from a variety of compatible apps (including Explain Everything and Book Creator) and file types (such as large video and audio files). Plus, you can easily review student work by providing feedback and a grade using tools such as text and voice notes, comments, and our brand new Showbie Gradebook. Once assignments are completed and graded, they can be added to a student's portfolio so they can be shown to parents - all without taking up any storage space on iPad!

Showbie makes going paperless easy. With students being able to annotate directly in the app, there are no lost papers or excuses for forgotten homework. Students and teachers can also discuss their work privately in the app, and the digital portfolio allows you to add assignments from a variety of multimedia so that students can track their academic progress, even as they advance to other grades! Any educator who wants to keep their sanity will love how Showbie streamlines classroom workflow with their students.

Come and see Elizabeth share her Showbie classroom, and brag about how she is nearly entirely paperless, and has a record for zero missing assignments! Download the app ahead of the session and take the role of a student to engage with us through the app!

After completing my MEd, I taught preservice teachers at the University of Alberta about best practice... Read More →
