Suitable for all elementary – middle school teachers, instructional technology and curriculum teams and leaders
President Obama has said that 3D printing has the potential to revolutionize the way we make almost everything, referring to the rapidly changing world of technology and work we now live in.
How will our students thrive in this unpredictable and ever-changing world?
What skills, dispositions and knowledge will they need?
In this interactive workshop, the team from Makers Empire will explore practical ways for students to develop and master: design thinking; collaborative skills and capabilities to excel in 3D environments.
We will show how these essential 21st century skills can be embedded across all curriculum areas to facilitate authentic learning experiences and tangible learning outcomes.
Participants in this workshop will be introduced to our easy to use tools (for iPad and other devices) which enable students as young as 4 to begin designing in 3D within seconds and for teachers to easily incorporate 3D design and printing into their lessons without the need for complex design and technology skills.
